The sea is large and full of creatures, some of which can be really terrifying and often deadly.
There are alot of creatures in the deep sea that we know nothing about. And catching a glimpse of one of them, is enough to send a chill down your spine.
A fisherman has captured bizarre images of an unidentified alien creature he spotted while out on his boat.
After the initial shock and confusion, he discovered that it was a whale.
Australian skipper Mark Watkins was confused by the bulging shape protruding from the water.
First he suspected it was a boat, or maybe a hot air balloon.
Gross! But the disgusting truth became clearer as he got closer - and smelled the rotting whale for himself.
Off the coast of Bunbury in Western Australia, Mr Watkins and his father snapped the mammal in an advanced stage of decomposition and posted the images online.
This is what the experienced sea farer had to say about the incident.
“Its stomach was full of gas so it was all bloated up,” he told the West Australian.
“When we got closer we realised it had to be a dead whale because of the smell.”
The 36-year-old says that it's the strangest thing he's seen in 21 years of angling.
When they turned the boat around on their return trip, to their further disgust, they realized that another creature had bitten into the whale and deflated the rotten balloon.
